Client: RUN AAPI
Project Duration: June 2022 – November 2022
Role: Program Manager
Description:
Every Vote Every Where All At Once was a youth-first and culture-forward get-out-the-vote activation that took place at NC State University in Raleigh, NC, a leading public research university that was also the site of an early polling location. Wake County, which houses Raleigh, also has the highest number of Asian American voters in the state of North Carolina.
RUN AAPI and North Carolina Asian Americans Together (NCAAT) joined forces ahead of the midterm elections to lift up the political power of the Asian American and Pacific Islanders in the South – an emerging political force. This activation centered local AAPI food trucks, vendors, creatives and artists, an opportunity for young AAPIs to learn what’s on the ballot, and a special performance by gender non-conforming writer and performance artist Alok Vaid-Menon.
